October 13, 2016- Pick up non accepted work in Allison Fine Arts Building Hallway 4-6pm
October 13, 2016- Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony 6:30-8:30pm
November 11, 2016- Exhibit closes
November 12, 2016-Pick up exhibited work 11am-1pm

Entries limited to 3 per artist. Accepted media: original ceramics, sculpture, glass, drawing, graphics, painting, fiber, photography and mixed media

2016 Texas Artists Today – Art Pick up June 13

Just a reminder to pick up your artwork from the “2016 Texas Artists Today” exhibit on Monday, June 13th from 12-3pm.  The Museum of the Southwest is only open to pick up during these hours, so please don’t be late!!  If you can’t come by on Monday, please make arrangements with Jenni Opalinski by June 10th.  Email her: jopalinski(at)museumsw.org  The exhibit closes June 12

MAA Painting Party April 20, 2016

MAA and Palette Club Wine and Paint Evening
Wednesday April 20 from 6:30-9 pm.
The Palate Club 907 W. Wadley (between A and 1st street)
$35
Come and complete an acrylic painting while sipping wine with your friends.  No experience is necessary and all supplies plus wine will be supplied.  The class will be limited to 20.  Please reserve your place by contacting Rick Reese at:  igor9115a@gmail.com.

To those of you getting the prospectus as a mailout, one section got cut off in the “Conditions” section.  It should read:

“Original artwork only.  From idea to execution completed within the last two years without supervision.  Not previously shown
competitively in Midland.

Texas Artists Today 2016 Prospectus

Since 1978, the Midland Art Association has offered a juried art exhibition.  We have been honored to collaborate with the Museum of the Southwest who hosts this event.  The Museum of the Southwest is an accredited museum with a rich history and mission to preserve and exhibit the art of the Southwest.

Our spring exhibit is titled “Texas Artists Today,” and it will showcase the variety and talent of Texas artists in 2016.

The juror is Christina Rees, senior editor of Glasstire.
