Monday, Oct. 12 Accept/Non-accept notices emailed
Oct. 13 – 15 Pick up non-accepted work, Allison Fine Arts Hallway 10 am–6 pm
Thursday, Oct. 15 Show opens in gallery and online. Awards announced. 6:00 pm
Sunday, Nov. 7 Show Closes 5 pm
Nov. 8-13 Pick up exhibited work 9 am–6 pm
Juror
An award winning professional artist since 1990, Fran Ellisor specializes in plein air and alla prima painting of landscapes, figures and still lifes. She has traveled the world to capture impressionistic images in oils, acrylics and pastels. She is a veteran of the annual En Plein Air Texas art festival and outdoor painting competition in San Angelo. Fran lives and works in Conroe, TX. She will be teaching a workshop on plein air painting in Midland Oct. 9-11, 2020.
Awards Total $2750 in cash awards: Best in Show plus 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each category
Entries Limited to three per artist.
Work must be the artist’s original concept and creation.
Two-dimensional work must be properly prepared to hang on the wall.
NO Saw tooth hangers. NO wet paint.
Categories Portrait/Figure, Landscape, Still Life/Floral, Abstract, Animal and 3D
Entry Fees MAA members: $45 for up to 3 entries.
Non-MAA-members: $55 for up to 3 entries.
Students with valid ID: $20 for up to 3 entries.
Conditions MAA takes a 20 percent commission on all sales from the exhibit. All selected entries must remain for the duration of the show. No exceptions.
Non Liability Midland Arts Association and/or Midland College, including employees and agents, shall not be liable for loss or damage to any works of art entered. Participation indicates that the entrant understands and accepts this clause and conditions as stated.
Midland Arts Association retains the right to screen entries.
