Garfield\, Midland\, Texas 79705 \nCelebrating 50 Years of Art in Midland\nJoin Midland Arts Association and Midland College for the 50th Annual Fall Juried Art Exhibition\, showcasing original artwork across eight categories and awarding more than $5\,000 in cash prizes. \nThe exhibition opens Thursday\, October 8\, with an opening reception and awards announcement from 6–7:30 PM. The exhibition will be available in the gallery and online. \nOver $5\,000 in cash awards \nBest in Show\, plus first-\, second-\, and third-place awards in each category. \nImportant Dates\nSaturday\, October 3 | 10 AM–2 PMArtwork drop-off at Midland College Fine Arts Building. \nMonday\, October 5Acceptance and non-acceptance notifications emailed to artists. \nOctober 6–8 | 9 AM–6 PMPickup of non-accepted artwork at the Allison Fine Arts Hallway. \nThursday\, October 8 | 6–7:30 PMExhibition opens in the gallery and online. Awards announced. \nFriday\, November 6 | 5 PMExhibition closes. \nSaturday\, November 7 | 10 AM–2 PMPickup of exhibited artwork. \nMeet the Juror: Randy Ham\nRandy Ham is the founder and principal of Cultural Compass Consulting\, an arts and cultural consulting practice. \nBefore launching Cultural Compass Consulting in 2026\, Randy served as Executive Director of Odessa Arts. He currently serves as Secretary of Texans for the Arts\, the statewide advocacy organization dedicated to advancing the arts in Texas. \nExhibition Categories\nArtists may submit work in the following categories: \nOilAcrylicWatercolorDrawingMixed MediaPrintmakingPhotography3D \nCategories may be combined depending on the number of entries received. \nEntry Fees\nThe entry fee is a single flat fee covering up to three artworks\, not a per-artwork charge. \nMAA members: $45 for up to three entries \nNon-members: $55 for up to three entries \nFull-time students with valid ID: $20 for up to three entries \nEntries are limited to three works per artist. \nArtwork Requirements\nAll work must be the artist's original concept and creation.Work must not have appeared in a previous juried Midland Arts Association exhibition.Two-dimensional work must be properly prepared and framed\, with picture wire for hanging.Sawtooth hangers are not permitted.Wet paint is not permitted. \nExhibition Conditions\nMidland Arts Association retains a 20% commission on all artwork sales. \nAll accepted artwork must remain on exhibit for the entire duration of the show. No exceptions. \nMidland Arts Association and/or Midland College\, including their employees and agents\, shall not be liable for loss or damage to submitted artwork.
